Während das Jahr 2025 gerade erst begonnen hat, legen die italienischen Metal-Legenden Lacuna Coil bereits mächtig los mit der Veröffentlichung ihrer neuesten Single „Gravity“.
In „Gravity“ werden Themen wie die Unvermeidlichkeit des Schicksals sowie der ständige Zyklus des Fallens und Aufstehens behandelt. Die Single vermittelt eine wichtige Botschaft über Resilienz.

Sleepless Empire ist das 10. Studioalbum von Lacuna Coil und der erste Longplayer nach ihrem Remake-Album Comalies XX, das 2022 erschien.

„Sleepless Empire“ von Lacuna Coil umfasst 11 neue Tracks, die jeweils als reichhaltig strukturierter Soundtrack zu einem bestimmten Moment und Ort fungieren. Das Album entfaltet eine düstere, cineastische Atmosphäre und bleibt dabei den charakteristischen Elementen treu, die der Band ihren gefeierten Status in der Heavy-Music-Szene eingebracht haben.
Nach der Veröffentlichung von „Sleepless Empire“ im Frühjahr 2025 werden Lacuna Coil auf Tour gehen. Im März steht eine Lateinamerika- und Mexiko-Tour an, gefolgt von einer großen Nordamerika-Tour im April und Mai 2025 mit Machine Head, In Flames und Unearth. Zudem wurden sie bereits für mehrere europäische Sommerfestivals bestätigt.
